A little more to show...

So, about that project I mentioned earlier....

...it's coming along. SLOWLY. But it is coming. I was recently challenged by my friend to write three pages a day this month. It doesn't seem too daunting as long as I don't think of the 90 pages I should have when month is over. I'm determined to do it though, or else this thing will never get done.

Something else I've decided to do in an ongoing effort to get myself to do stuff, I've decided to draw a new picture based on whatever primary lesson I'm teaching each week. I already did one for the story of Rebekah and the servant of Abraham, but I did a rush job of coloring it and I'd like to give it more thought. The good news is it's General Conference weekend (or "pajama church" as my mom calls it), so I have an extra week to re-color that drawing and then draw a whole new one!

Ciao for now.

Devourer of Worlds

I was reading through Wikipedia today and came across an article about Galactus:

And then I read this quote from Stan Lee about how he was created:

"I created Galactus after we had done so many villains and wanted something different. I wondered, 'How could we get something bigger than a villain? Let's do a guy who's like a demigod — I like the name Galactus'. He comes from outer space and eats planets, or some stupid thing".

This is one of the greatest things I have ever read in my entire in my life.

Stan Lee, I love you forever.

New Dino!

I thought this was cool for two reasons:

1) I took a dinosaurs class from this cool dude, and it was one of my favorites. Ever.
2) Dinosaurs are awesome and speak to the nine-year-old inside of me, and they always will.

Watching this reminds me of being in his class. I got all pumped when he talks about why it's rare to find sauropod skulls that are still intact. I still can't look at a duck without imagining it as a tiny  Tyrannosaurus, or thinking about it's bio-mechanics or it's crazy lungs. Don't know what I'm talkin' about? LOOK IT UP. Or if you're a BYU student you can take Geology 100 from Dr. Britt. Tell him Kent sent you.

Man. I learned a lot in that class. Like, a lot.

It also made me a fan of Suchomimus, and Dilophosaurus.

Things to come...

I'm writing something with the help of a buddy of mine. I'm hoping to begin posting it as a web comic sometime in the near future. Here's a peek.
